 World Expo today announced that The XFree86 Project, Inc. is the recipient of the February 2000 IDG/Linus Torvalds Community Award. IDG Chairman and Founder, Patrick J. McGovern and Linux creator Linus Torvalds Linus Benedict Torvalds   (born December 28 1969 in Helsinki, Finland) is a Finnish software engineer best known for initiating the development of the Linux kernel.  will present the $25,000 award at LinuxWorld Conference & Expo, following Torvalds' keynote address keynote address
