A California State University Enrollment
 committee of trustees recommended Tuesday that incoming Jolene Koester, incoming president at the Northridge campus, receive an annual salary of $200,004.

The salary exceeds only slightly the $199,752 a year that Louanne Kennedy has been paid as interim president since the trustees increased the salaries of top campus executives in September. The average salary of presidents at the 23 campuses is $195,773.

Koester's predecessor at CSUN CSUN California State University Northridge , Blenda Wilson, received an annual salary of $175,008 until she left in June.

Koester, serving as provost at California State University, Sacramento California State University, Sacramento, more commonly referred to as Sacramento State or Sac State, is a public university located in the city of Sacramento, California, USA. It is part of the California State University system. , until she takes over at CSUN on July 1, will live in the home near campus that the system provided for Wilson. ``I remain very excited about the opportunity and living near the campus.'' Koester said.
