$130m W57th Street sale closes.

RCG Longview Equity Fund LP announced the acquisition of 200 West 57th Street, a premiere boutique mixed use commercial property containing a total of 17,215 s/ f of retail and 155,595 s/f of office space with 11,500 s/f floor plates. The purchase price was $130 million.

The property features enormous two-story picture windows, ornamental cast iron balusters and 22 terra-cotta gargoyles. The building's facade is currently under-going a $6.6 million renovation which is due to be completed by June 2007.

The fund purchased the building as well as 45,000 s/f of air rights and is evaluating its business plan which will look to take advantage of the multitude of opportunities created by the tightening office and retail market in the immediate sub-market.
