$120 Chelsea building taking shape.

The latest addition to Chelsea's burgeoning residential neighborhood on West 23rd Street is now taking shape.

Construction is well underway on a new $12 million, 337-unit, luxury apartment building on West 23rd Street between 10th and 11th Avenues.

This is the latest in a series of developments that is reshaping the western gateway to Chelsea.

With an eye toward the architectural heritage of Chelsea, the look of the building was inspired by the best traditions of historic New York City New York City: see New York, city.

The project is being developed by Jeffrey E. Levine's development company, Douglaston Development.
