), an award-winning enterprise level learning solutions provider, announced today that it has secured a $10 million equity commitment, led by Hampshire Equity Partners.

This follow-on round of funding from GLS' current financial partners will be used to continue building the global Internet and new media centered corporate education and training company, including completion of strategic international acquisitions, development of LearningVista(TM), GLS' enterprise learning solution environment and ongoing development of GLS' product and service offerings.

GlobalLearningSystems' Executive Vice President, Nick Schacht, said "GLS is thrilled that our partners continue to demonstrate their faith in our vision and our execution of that vision. We remain firmly committed to achieving our goal of being the leading provider of integrated learning solutions."

According to Hampshire Equity Partner Benjamin P. Giess, "GLS has demonstrated an ability to effectively acquire and integrate companies with critical skills, products and services. We are committed to helping them fully integrate offerings for Fortune 1000 customers."

International Data Corporation (IDC) projects that the e-Learning market will grow from 10% of the total training market in 1999 to more than 35% by 2004. By 2002, organizations will spend as many dollars to provide technology-based training as instructor-led (classroom based) training. By 2004, e-Learning expenditures are expected to equal dollars spent on classroom-based training.

"The learning solutions market becomes more exciting and challenging daily. With its global presence, technology leadership and set of blue-chip customers, we believe that GLS is poised for significant growth and long-term success," said Hampshire Managing Partner, Tracey L. Rudd.
