PALMDALE -- A $10,000 reward will be offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the man who raped a 10-year-old girl at a Palmdale movie theater.

The girl was in a Cinemark Movies 10 hallway about 1:30 p.m. when the man accosted ac·cost

 her, forced her into an empty theater and verbally threatened her. The girl was assaulted behind the movie screen, deputies said.

The assailant was described as African-American, 35 to 45, with short black hair and a graying mustache. He stands about 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs about 180 pounds.

Deputies said the man was wearing a white T-shirt with an unknown logo and dark blue warm-up pants with white stripes down the legs.
