 SmackDown!(TM), and this time WWE(R) will award someone a WWE talent contract worth up to $1 million. A dynamic group of physically fit, charismatic competitors will be challenged to see if they are physically, mentally and emotionally tough enough to earn a World Wrestling Entertainment contract worth up to $1 million and the recognition of being Tough Enough to be a WWE Superstar.

50 contestants have been invited to a two-day Tough Enough "tryout" on Venice Beach, California on October 15th and 16th. The competition will consist of military style obstacle courses in the sand, weight lifting, sprints, and in-ring agility and personality testing. The first day will start at 11:00 AM and continue until approximately 6:00 PM, when the first round of "cuts" will take place. The second day will start at 10:00am for the remaining contestants, and they will be put through another round of training and "in-ring" activities to show-off their strength, stamina and charisma. Judging will be done by WWE Superstars and Tough Enough Trainers, Al Snow(R) and Bill DeMott(TM), in conjunction with the WWE Talent Development group.

After selecting the eight finalists for the $1,000,000 Tough Enough, the official competition will be held weekly on WWE SmackDown! on UPN UPN User Principal Name (Microsoft Windows 2000)

The eight contestants will train with Tough Enough Trainer Al Snow, and then appear on WWE SmackDown! every week and will interact with WWE Superstars. Each week, a contestant will be eliminated based on fan voting leading up to the finale on December 16 when the winner is declared.
