Q What is the most extravagent meal you've ever eaten?

"Without a question--and I've eaten from sea to sea--it's the venison venison (vĕn`ĭzən) [O.Fr.,=hunting], term formerly applied to the flesh of any wild beast or game hunted and used for food but now restricted to the flesh of members of the deer family.  at Verdicchio's (in Sudbury), grilled medium rare. It's awesome. It's better than steak, if you like red meat."

Q Do you have a favorite saying you live by?

" 'Excellent' "and 'piece of cake.' If somebody asks you how you are you say you're 'excellent'. Secondly, there are no challenges, only actions and it's just a piece of cake."

Q Where did you earn your first dollar?

"Richardson's Sport Shop (on Main Street in North Bay) ... as a clerk. That's how I got through university."

Q What's the best thing your parents taught you?

"Just do the right thing. It's a measuring stick you can apply to everything if that's what you want to do. It answers every challenge and sets a road map. If you just do the right thing, it won't be comfortable sometimes and sometimes it will be. Ultimately it's the way forward."

"Learn to golf"
