Show Will Give Away $11 Million in Cash Prizes - One of The
Largest Cash Giveaways In Television History; Two Viewers Will Win
Journalist/host Leeza Gibbons will host the iWON.COM(SM) ANNUAL $10 MILLION GIVEAWAY, a new entertainment special to be broadcast Saturday, April 15 (8:00-8:30 PM, live ET, delayed PT) on the CBS Television Network. The special will capture the excitement of the awarding of $11 million in cash prizes - one of the largest cash giveaways in television history!
One of four show participants will be awarded the iWon.com Sweepstakes $10 million Annual Grand Prize, another participant will receive an iWon(SM) $1 million Monthly prize and the remaining two participants will receive either a brand new 2000 Mercedes-Benz SLK-class Convertible or a seven-day trip for four to Hawaii plus $25,000 in spending money. In addition, two lucky viewers will each win $50,000 as part of a "Win for Watching" promotion.
"We are thrilled to be awarding more than $11 million in prizes during this television special," said Bill Daugherty, Founder and co-CEO of iWon(SM). "This will not only be a life-changing event for an iWon user, but also promises to be an exciting television experience."
The special will be shot at Studio 46 in Television City in Los Angeles, and the audience will include several of iWon's $10,000 Daily winners and all five of iWon's previous Monthly $1 million prize winners. Each of the four participants will be profiled through one-on-one interviews, hometown messages and pre-packaged segments. The show will culminate with the awarding of the $10 million prize.
For at-home viewers, there will be a "Win for Watching" element to the program where two lucky viewers (one watching the live broadcast and one watching the delayed broadcast) will win $50,000. "We are particularly excited about this component of the show," said Daugherty. "It's the same premise as the iWon.com website - rewarding people for doing what they do anyway - in this case, watching television."
"It's very exciting to be involved in such a life-changing event," commented Gibbons. "How cool - a news-making moment that celebrates good fortune."
