"Winter Wonderfares" Western Pacific offers one-way fares starting at low $49.

Western Pacific Airlines, or WestPac, took up service on April 28, 1995 using eight Boeing 737-300 jets.
, the Colorado Springs-based, low-fare air carrier making it possible through its "Winter Wonderfares."

Said Tom DeNardin, Westpac's vice president of sales & marketing: "You don't have to give a `Winter Wonderfare' as a gift. With these low fares, we're sure thousands of people will brighten the winter with a vacation trip."

"Winter Wonderfares" will go on sale today (Friday, Nov. 8), offering one-way fares to desirable locations for fares starting as low as $49, for travel through May 21, 1997.

And, the airline will send the confirmation number in a Christmas card if customers desire.

In keeping with the low-fare policy of Western Pacific, one-way fares from Colorado Springs to Las Vegas Las Vegas (läs vā`gəs), city (1990 pop. 258,295), seat of Clark co., S Nev.; inc. 1911. It is the largest city in Nevada and the center of one of the fastest-growing urban areas in the United States. , Phoenix, and Oklahoma City Oklahoma City (1990 pop. 444,719), state capital, and seat of Oklahoma co., central Okla., on the North Canadian River; inc. 1890. Fares are on sale through Dec. 10, 1996, for travel through May 21, 1997 (certain blackout dates apply: Nov. 26, 27 & 30, Dec. 1-2, 20, 21, 23 and 26-29 and Jan. 4). Seats are limited and must be purchased at the time of booking, at least 14 days in advance. Reservations may be made by calling 1-800-930-3030 or through travel agents.

The airline provides non-stop Colorado Springs service to 22 destinations including: Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Phoenix, Kansas City Kansas City, two adjacent cities of the same name, one (1990 pop. 149,767), seat of Wyandotte co., NE Kansas (inc. 1859), the other (1990 pop. 435,146), Clay, Jackson, and Platte counties, NW Mo. (inc. 1850). , Oklahoma City, New York/Newark, Washington/Dulles, Tulsa, San Francisco, Chicago/Midway, Seattle, Dallas/Fort Worth, San Diego, San Jose, Indianapolis, Houston, Atlanta, Nashville, Orlando, Ontario (Calif.), San Antonio, and Portland, (Ore.). Service to San Jose will end Dec. 3, 1996. Service to Miami begins Dec. 4.

Western Pacific's reservation system is "ticketless." Travelers pay when they call in their reservations. Reservations are made by calling 800/930-3030 or through travel agents. Using a personal identification number, travelers check in swiftly.
