"Walking on thin ice." (Readers Write).


From the moment that I saw my first ice show, I wanted to be a figure skater. By the age of 10 I was skating skating: see ice skating; ice dancing; roller skating.

 in local ice shows. I turned professional at 18, and coached when I was in college.

But that was back then.

I was diagnosed with MS in 1989. I have been married for 15 years and we have two daughters, Jasmine jasmine (jăs`mĭn, jăz–) or jessamine (jĕs`əmĭn), any plant of the genus Jasminum of the family Oleaceae (olive family).  and Desiree. My body has changed dramatically since then. I now am unable to walk unassisted.

There was a time in my life when I was bitter and hateful hate·ful

. But over the years I have grown a lot. I am now completing my autobiography My Autobiography has been frequently used as a title for autobiographies, including that of:
  • William Powell Frith's My Autobiography and Reminiscences (1888)
  • Max Müller's (1901)
  • Mark Twain's
, "Walking on Thin Ice." Who knows, maybe a cure for MS will be found and I will skate again.
