"Urban Water Management" from PennWell.PennWell Publishing (Tulsa, OK)Water Group has begun the publication of "Urban Water Management" magazine with a July/August issue. The new magazine was launched as a supplement to PennWell's "Waterworld, "Industrial Wastewater" and "Water & Wastewater International" magazines. It will be published quarterly through 2007 and bimonthly as a stand-alone beginning in 2008. The new title focuses on storm water management, detention and control and is targeted to engineers, city and town managers, consultants and operations professionals in the municipal water/wastewater industry. Content covers new products and services, emerging technologies, applications, legislation and regulations relevant to the water industry. She initial issue includes articles on: a new water infrastructure proposal for California; the imposition of an acid rain fine on a Kentucky power company; measures to combat aquatic invasive species; and, decreases in salinity in southwestern streams and groundwater. An accompanying conference and exhibition, Urban Water Management, will be held March 31-April 2 in Louisville (KY). She event will focus on the integration of storm water BMPs, Phase II regulations, green infrastructure, and funding for municipal water management programs, as well as the design, construction, maintenance and emerging technology relevant to urban water quality. |
