"Traffic-Web" - The task management system for merchandising.

CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 20, 1997--Today New Logic Inc. announces and demonstrates an advanced Internet tracking application.

Traffic-Web simplifies the coordination and execution

of complex projects, jobs, and tasks in the fast moving world

of retail merchandising

New Logic Inc., a premier software development, consulting and system integration company in the Midwest, demonstrates a totally new software product line to merchandising managers who visit the SUN Microsystems' JAVA PAVILION at Retail Systems '97. Conference attendees will learn how Traffic-Web is used to manage multi-store projects using the Internet. Traffic-Web was initially inspired by the need for advertising agencies to meet their day-to-day commitments with expediency ex·pe·di·en·cy
n. pl. ex·pe·di·en·cies
1. Appropriateness to the purpose at hand; fitness.

2. Adherence to self-serving means:
and perfection. "We are focused on coordinating the details and complexities of fast moving businesses, like retail merchandising," said Dwight Koop, New Logic's Principal/Director Product Development.

Traffic-Web is a database-driven Intranet and secure Internet solution for Coordinating People, Communication Priorities, and Controlling Schedules. Unlike traditional project management programs, Traffic-Web leverages the natural communication networks that exist in any organization. With Traffic-Web you can use the Web to connect people, and Traffic-Web to link their projects, jobs and tasks.

An enterprise-wide solution, Traffic-Web leverages Oracle Corp.'s Network Computing Storing and/or running applications in servers in a network. See cloud computing and network computer.  Architecture. This 100 percent JAVA architecture means the Traffic-Web server software package can run on any server hardware and operating system operating system (OS)

platform. The same software built for New Logic's SUN reference platform runs unaltered on all other modern server operating systems See network operating system. .

Users can access Traffic-Web from any desktop PC, notebook, network computer, or JAVAstation. The product works with all the major browsers, including SUN's HOT JAVA, Netscape's Communicator-Navigator, and Microsoft's Internet Explorer Microsoft's Web browser, which comes with Windows starting with Windows 98. Commonly called "IE," versions for Mac and Unix are also available. Internet Explorer is the most widely used Web browser on the market. It has also been the browser engine in AOL's Internet access software. .

JAVAsoft's broadly accepted late binding development environment has made it possible for us to deliver a cost effective product for the specific needs of merchandising. Using Oracle's Web Server architecture, we are able to address the scale and complexity of secure, audible, Internet project coordination and control. "Sun and Oracle have made NLI's Noun noun [Lat.,=name], in English, part of speech of vast semantic range. It can be used to name a person, place, thing, idea, or time. It generally functions as subject, object, or indirect object of the verb in the sentence, and may be distinguished by a number of  Centric design of Traffic-Web (people, places, things & transactions), practical, fast and easy," said Koop.
