In related news, the IEE has also launched Cryptanalysis The art of recovering original data (the plaintext) that has been encrypted (turned into ciphertext) without having access to the correct key used in the encryption process. When new encryption algorithms are introduced, cryptanalysis determines how hard it is to break the code. , a new quarterly electronic journal. It is described as the "only journal dedicated to publishing papers that identify significant security flaws in published cryptosystems and in schemes using cryptosystems such as cryptographic protocols."
