BURBANK, Calif. -- On March 13, 2007, Warner Home Video is proud to present SUBLIME, the second film in the successful "Raw Feed" direct-to-DVD series. Directed by Tony Krantz (Executive Producer of "24") from a screenplay by Erik Jendresen (HBO's "Band of Brothers") and with cinematography by Dermott Downs ("CSI: New York, Miami"), SUBLIME is described as "a really great Twilight Zone" (Peter Hammond, Maxim) and is a provocative modern-times horror-tale as well as a social and political allegory.

This edgy, thought-provoking film explores upper-middle class unconsciousness and fear and the idea that in order to awaken from that state of ignorance, fears must become a reality. SUBLIME was recently selected for the 2007 Cinequest Film Festival in the "New Visions" category. The film festival features films of artistic, social or stylistic merit and will occur February 28 through March 11 in San Jose, Ca. SUBLIME has an SRP of $24.98.

SUBLIME features a diverse and talented cast led by Tom Cavanagh ("Scrubs," "Ed", "Two Weeks"), Oscar[R] nominated Crash songstress Kathleen "Bird" York ("West Wing," "The OC"), Lawrence-Hilton Jacobs ("Welcome Back, Kotter," "Roots") and Katherine Cunningham-Eves (The Passage of Mrs. Calabash). In addition, Paget Brewster ("Huff"), George Newbern (Father of the Bride), Tony[R] Award-winner John Rubinstein, and many others round out the remarkable cast. The DVD soundtrack will feature three haunting songs from artist Kathleen "Bird" York, who performed at the 2005 Academy Awards[R].

"More than just a horror film or psychological thriller, I saw this as an opportunity to make a socio-political allegory and commentary on principally white upper middle class fear in our culture," said Krantz, director of SUBLIME. "We are living in fear and this film is about what happens when all these fears manifest."

Synopsis

Admitted to a hospital for a routine, minimally invasive procedure, George Grieves (Cavanagh) discovers that his circumstances are much more serious and complicated than originally expected. Trapped in the increasingly bizarre and dangerous world of Mt. Abaddon Hospital, George tries to maintain his sanity while uncovering the truth behind the growing number of medical misdeeds happening within the institution's East Ward. As his own fears begin to manifest all around him, he learns that this is not a place where people come to get better... this is a hospital where people come to die.

Films under the Raw Feed banner are a mix of thriller, horror, and sci-fi with an uncomfortable edge, and are as much psychological as they are thriller or horror genre.
