"She'll make us lose". (Dear Highlights).

My mom is always telling me to let my sister play kickball with my neighbor and me. But she will make us lose. What should I do?

Carl S., North Carolina

Have you told your mom why you are concerned about having your sister play? Perhaps you can come to an agreement to let your sister play some of the time, and then at other times you and your neighbor can play alone.

Maybe there is some way to adjust the rules so that when your sister does play, she won't count toward the outs that your team has. If she has a chance to play, she will probably improve quickly.
