"Services Outsourcing World" from International Data Group.

International Data Group (Boston, MA), through its IDG India (Bangalore) subsidiary, has launched "Services Out-Sourcing World" magazine, an accompanying web site (oswmag.com) and related industry events and services. The title has an initial controlled circulation of 20,000 managers, CFOs, CIOs and CEOs who make decisions about IT and software services, business process and contact center outsourcing. Initial distribution will be mainly in the U.S. and circulation will increase to 30,000 by the end of the year to accommodate major markets around the world.

IDG said the title will provide information and business intelligence to purchasers of outsourced information technology and business process services and is described as "the first truly global publication of this type to be produced in India." The company noted that content for the title will come from over 140 reporters, columnists and experts located in over 80 countries.

According to IDG India president N Bringi Dev, the title is being launched because "buyers seeking to outsource are looking for a single source of information on critical issues such as operating models, vendor selection, contract management performance measurement and return on investment." The new magazine "will provide information from around the world to address this need." Dev added that "from the service provider perspective, (the magazine) provides a focused vehicle to communicate with prospective purchasers to build their brands and mindshare." IDG India also publishes "Real CIO World" magazine.
