Audiences had to meet Sarah without any confusion from other film roles or big name actors. The actor had to be intelligent, strong, adorable, and most of all, believable as the 17-year-old, curiosity-bound lead character. After auditioning hundreds of actresses in Hollywood and across the U.S. to no avail, Comrie came across a short film with Rissa Walters, a friend she had known for years. She suddenly realized that Sarah Landon was right there in front of her all along. Walters loved playing Sarah and has already signed on for the film's two sequels. "I've become much more open to the existence of paranormal activity after doing this film" said Walters. "We filmed at a house that was rumored to be haunted.
