, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 30, 1996--ADI Systems, Inc., a leading manufacturer of display monitors is announcing a special promotion on their pivoting 17-inch monitor, the MicroScan 17X. This promotion gives current and existing resellers the incentive to try a hands-on evaluation of a very versatile and highly functional pivoting monitor. The promotion runs from October 1st through December 31st.

ADI's bonus package offers a $50 instant rebate off the purchase of the MicroScan 17X, a Lotus SmartSuite A suite of applications for Windows from IBM Lotus that includes the 1-2-3 spreadsheet, Word Pro word processor, Freelance Graphics, Approach database and Organizer PIM. Also included is a common toolbar for launching the applications and selecting predefined macros that provide tighter  '96 CD-ROM CD-ROM: see compact disc.

In vertical/portrait mode, it exhibits a readable 8.5" x 11" or A4 document--the largest display on the market, with a 325-millimeter vertical area that is roughly a third larger than conventional 17" monitors and even 20 millimeters longer than a typical 21" screen. The estimated street price is $859.
