Alex Vieux Alex Serge Vieux is chairman, CEO and founder of technology conference sponsor, DASAR. He's also publisher of Red Herring magazine.

Currently, Vieux serves on the boards of several international public and private companies, including BVRP, CommerceOne, and Qualys. , the technology investor who acquired the rights and brand name of Red Herring Red Herring

Notes: in April 2003 after the company shut down and ceased publication of the magazine, has relaunched the brand (Mountain View, CA) and will "investigate the business of technology" through Redherring.com, subscription newsletters, research and events.

The reformed company said the web site will deliver 90 stories each month analyzing the issues affecting the global IT industry. The company will also launch a variety of subscription newsletters covering such topics as new technologies from research centers, venture capital, and innovation and creation at publicly traded technology companies.
