The Emmy award-winning production company Public Interest has teamed up with the American Civil Liberties Union American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), nonpartisan organization devoted to the preservation and extension of the basic rights set forth in the U.S. Constitution.  and various gay rights groups to launch a video campaign to "put a human face on marriage for same-sex couples A same-sex couple is a pair of people of the same gender who pursue a romantic or sexual relationship together.

The term "same-sex relationship" may be used when the sexual orientation of participants in a same-sex relationship is not known.
." The website (www.10couples.org) features ten short streaming videos A one-way video transmission over a data network. It is widely used on the Web as well as company networks to play video clips and video broadcasts. Computers in home networks stream video to digital media hubs connected to a home theater.  of real couples telling their stories in an effort to demonstrate how denying marriage protections to gay and lesbian couples and their families is unfair and harmful.
