; Jamesburg, NJ) has begun the publication of Pharmaceutical Business Strategies (PBS), a monthly magazine that has a controlled circulation of 25,000 pharmaceutical industry executives and related professionals.

MWC said the new title addresses best business practices in the sales, marketing and distribution of products along the global pharmaceutical supply chain, from manufacturing to market. Editorial is designed to carry content on such topics as wholesaling and distribution trends, information technologies such as radio-frequency identification (RFID) and policy issues such as reimporation, the Medicare Modernization Act and drug reimbursement policies.

PBS publisher Mario Di Ubaldi said the goal of the magazine is to cover the conversion of goods and materials along the global pharmaceutical supply chain and to connect "the top executives of the industry with the vendors, service organizations and logistics providers" for the industry. Editor Nicholas Basta said editorial includes coverage of such topics as parallel trade between countries, adoption of electronic identification of individual drug doses, counterfeiting, security and pharmacy benefit management (PBM). An accompanying web site also includes directories and links to industry associations.

MWC publishes over 70 titles including Pharmacy Times, Food & Drug Packaging and Physician's Money Digest.

In related news, MWC division Stagnito Communications (Deerfield, IL), a publisher of information for the food, beverage and packaging industries, will launch a new book publishing arm in October with the release of New Product Launch: 10 Proven Strategies.
