Advisor Media (San Diego, CA) has begun the publication of Mobile Business Magazine with an October issue. To be published six times a year, the title has a paid and controlled circulation of 20,000. An annual subscription costs $39.

Taglined "expert advice on mobile wireless business strategies and solutions," the magazine is described as a guide for executives responsible for evaluating and purchasing mobile and wireless products and services for their companies. Advisor said content is designed to assist those professionals in using mobile and wireless technology to solve their business needs.

Editorial includes hardware and software evaluations, interviews, case studies, best practices and commentary. The title will include wireless carrier comparisons and information on insurance, fleet management, security, in-commerce issues, medical/healthcare applications, training, sales automation, construction and network administration. The premier issue includes a discussion about supplying Internet access to customers or the public, hardware and software reviews, selecting PDAs for enterprise, and an examination of phone carrier plans.

Advisor said the new title "combines and continues the legacy" of E-Business Advisor (founded 1998), Business Security Advisor (1998), Internet Advisor (1995) and Data Based Advisor (1983) magazines, all now closed.

Advisor now produces ten other magazine titles, including Websphere, Lotus Advisor, FoxPro Advisor and FileMaker Advisor.
