WHAT: "Meet the Oscars(R): The 50 Golden Statuettes"
The Academy will unveil a special public exhibition of
50 Oscar(R) statuettes plus historical statuettes from
the Academy's past and an authentic Oscar the public
can take turns holding.
The exhibition will be free and open to the public.
VISUALS: -- A public display of 50 authentic Oscar statuettes.
-- Two historical statuettes from the Academy's past:
Bette Davis' Oscar for "Jezebel" (1938) and Clark
Gable's for "It Happened One Night" (1934).
-- An actual statuette "tethered" in place that
visitors will be able to hold.
WHO: Available for interviews:
-- Robert Osborne - Author of 75 Years of the
Oscar: The Official History of the Academy
Awards.
-- Plus Academy representatives
WHEN: Monday, February 12, 2007
10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (The exhibit will open to the
public at 11AM).

10-minute time-slots on a first come, first serve
basis.
