"Medicare Drug Watch" from Bureau of National Affairs.

The Bureau of National Affairs (BNA; Washington, D.C.) has begun the production of Medicare Drug Watch, an online information service that carries the latest implementation details and policy developments from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. An annual subscription costs $495.

Targeted to attorneys, pharmaceutical company executives, healthcare trade association executives, lobbyists and government officials, the service covers the implementation of, and tracks the latest developments related to, the new Medicare prescription drug benefit, including Medicare reimbursement rules and the interim Medicare discount drug card. The service includes daily coverage and commentary of developments at federal agencies and in Congress, and a daily e-mail morning briefing.

Subscribers also have access to a collection of primary source documents, including full text of the Medicare Prescription Drug Act and the CMS schedule for enactment of the law's provisions through 2011, plus CMS rules and guidance, Capitol Hill memos and related documents. It also includes links to congressional committees with oversight of the Medicare drug program, federal and independent agencies and health care associations.
