The United States is the world's third largest country in population and the fourth largest country in area. , there is still an incredible absence of resources for addressing mental and public health issues affecting Latinos. The diversity of the Latino community as a whole certainly presents unique problems in the collection of data and providing appropriate services to different populations, and your article was very helpful in drawing out some of the obstacles and necessary considerations for successful efforts in this area. The importance of culturally appropriate methods of data collection, as well as services, is integral to better understanding the needs of Latinos. The one-size-fits-all one-size-fits-all adj. 1. Foreign by birth; not native to the country in which one resides. Adj. 1. foreign-born - of persons born in another area or country than that lived in; "our large nonnative population" nonnative Latino immigrants. Immigrant populations face complex issues when it comes to accessing public-health benefits, and understanding the specific issues they face requires an even more nuanced examination beyond just ethnic considerations.
