Original papers will come from a variety of investigative disciplines, including genetics, biochemistry and biophysics biophysics, application of various methods and principles of physical science to the study of biological problems. In physiological biophysics physical mechanisms have been used to explain such biological processes as the transmission of nerve impulses, the muscle , anatomy, cellular/molecular biology, physiology and pathology.

The company said the journal will help foster research on lymphatic pathology and biology. The advancement of such research can have "important implications" not only for lymphedema, but also cancer, AIDS, wound healing, and autoimmune disorders.
