Is Highest-Debuting Of Artist's Lifetime

Neil Diamond is back and breaking records.

"Live By Request starring Neil Diamond"--broadcast live on Saturday, July 28, 9pm-11pm (ET)--was the highest rated and most watched installment in the critically-acclaimed series of A&E "Live By Request" specials with a 2.0% of the Adult Audience reaching an average 1.6 million households. Highlights of "Live By Request starring Neil Diamond" included: Muhammad Ali's write-in request for "America" with Ali thanking Neil for making music, calling him "one of the most influential artists of our time"; Barbra Streisand's write-in request for their best-selling duet "You Don't Bring Me Flowers"; performances from Neil's new album, Three Chord Opera; and a host of Diamond hits--including "Holly Holy," "Sweet Caroline," "Cracklin' Rosie," and many others--played to an SRO See Self-regulatory organization.
