"Lend Me An Ear".

Whilst France has launched another foray into space to find another planet suitable for Earthlings, the United States Pentagon plan was revealed in December 2006 of a Trident that can strike anywhere on the face of the Earth within 60 minutes.

The American military has nuclear missiles that can destroy anything on the planet in a matter of minutes.

The US military's research divisions spent hundreds of millions of dollars on the ' X-51' hypersonic cruise missile.

The 'X-51' is planned to go to speeds of Mach 5 (roughly 3,600 miles per hour), faster than any equivalent in the U.S. arsenal.

The 'X-51' is part of a suite of futuristic weapons that can almost-instantly threaten American adversaries everywhere, without threatening the entire planet in the process. The 'X-51''s first test flight is planned for 2008.

Nuclear Global Strike plans were initiated in the 1990s when military planners and policy makers broadened the scope of U.S. nuclear strategy to incorporate missions against proliferators armed with weapons of mass destruction .

The U.S. military is considering arming some of its Trident D5 submarine-launched ballistic missiles with conventional warheads.

A conventionally-armed Trident has certain advantages over bombers, cruise missiles, or Special Forces for taking out high-value targets.

It is unmanned.
