Berkeley Electronic Press The Berkeley Electronic Press is a new publisher dedicated to publishing quality-ranked peer-reviewed academic research quickly in electronic format. It publishes a large number of electronic journals in the social sciences, law, medicine, and natural sciences.  (Berkeley Berkeley (bûr`klē), city (1990 pop. 102,724), Alameda co., W Calif., on the E shore of San Francisco Bay just N of Oakland; inc. 1878. Originally (1820) part of a Spanish rancho, the site was purchased by Americans in 1853. , CA), a publisher of online journals, has begun the production of Journal of Agricultural & Food Industrial Organization, a new quarterly electronic journal produced as a forum for the exchange of information on research in industrial organization. Access is currently free, but annual subscriptions should cost around $35 for individuals and $135 for institutions.

Editorial will focus on the agricultural and food industry worldwide and covers advances in game theory, economics of information, transaction cost economics, and bargaining theory in the analysis of agricultural and food industrial organization and policy issues. Editorial also includes information on regulatory economics Regulatory economics is the economics of regulation, in the sense of the application of law by government that is used for various purposes, such as centrally-planning an economy, remedying market failure, enriching well-connected firms, or benefiting politicians (see  and competition policy, horizontal and vertical coordination, mergers and acquisitions, contracts, auctions, monopolies, food labeling, food safety, cooperatives and other alliances, property rights, strategic trade, market structure and political economy.

In addition to full-length research articles, the title also carries research notes, surveys of literature, and technical comments. Berkeley Electronic Press also produces such titles as Journals in Macroeconomics macroeconomics
