"J. of Academic Ethics" & "Int. J. of Science & Math. Education" from Kluwer.Kluwer Academic (Malden, MA; Oxford, UK) has begun the publication of two new journals, including Journal of Academic Ethics and International Journal of Science and Mathematics Education. Both title will be published quarterly. The Journal of Academic Ethics is an interdisciplinary journal focusing on the examination of ethical issues relating to all aspects of post-secondary education, "primarily within a university context," Kluwer said. The Journal's mission is to foster the inquiry and research on a range of ethical considerations in research, teaching, administration and governance. Content includes stories on: research subjects and methods; treatment of diversity; grant and funding assessments; conflicts of interest; and, plagiarism plagiarism n. taking the writings or literary concepts (a plot, characters, words) of another and selling and/or publishing them as one's own product. Quotes which are brief or are acknowledged as quotes do not constitute plagiarism. The actual author can bring a lawsuit for appropriation of his/her work and against the plagiarist, and recover the profits. and fraud. An annual subscription costs $232. International Journal of Science and Mathematics Education is designed to publish articles on a variety of topics and research methods in both science and mathematics education. Editorial will include content that "explores science and math education from different cultural perspectives," covering issues common to teaching both subjects and new technologies.
