April 25, 1941 in Lyon) is a French director, screenwriter, actor, and producer. He was married to Colo O'Hagen from 1965 to 1980. His son, Nils Tavernier (b. September 1, 1965), works as both a director and actor. ("Coup de Torchon," "Captain Conan," "Round Midnight"). "It All Starts Today" won the audience award at the recent San Sebastian Film Festival, and its lead actor, Philippe Torreton, has been nominated nom·i·nate tr.v. nom·i·nat·ed, nom·i·nat·ing, nom·i·nates 1.
