"IMS Magazine" and "SIP Magazine" from Technology Marketing Corp.

Technology Marketing Corp. (TMC; Norwalk, CT), a company that produces magazines and conferences for the communications and high technology markets, will begin the publication of "SIP Magazine" with an issue in January and "IMS Magazine" with an issue in February. Both will be published six times a year in 2006.

"SIP Magazine" will focus on news and events in the session initiation protocol (SIP) market. SIP is a standard for voice over IP technology and helps to enable the next generation of applications. Editorial will include case studies and deployments in the real world as well as the latest services on the market. TMC said the targeted editorial will enable "decision makers to make better purchases." TMC president Rich Tahrani said that more than 28,000 professionals have already registered for qualified subscriptions.

TMC said that "IMS Magazine" is being launched to "uncover opportunities for service providers to take advantage of IP multimedia subsystems architecture." The magazine's mission is to teach the service provider community about the opportunities afforded them in the move to IP multimedia subsystems based architecture. Each issue will focus on industry news and events with case studies, applications and deployments, and the latest services on the market.

Tehrani said that the title "will focus on wireless and wireline opportunities as well as the intersection of the two. 'IMS Magazine' aims to be the primary resource to which service providers turn when deploying next-generation networks."

TMC produces two other print magazines, including "Customer Interaction Solutions" and "Internet Telephony," five digital magazines, including "Speech-World," "WiFi Telephony," "VoIP Developer," "IPTV" and "WiMAX," more than 20 e-newsletters and related conferences and expos.
