"Green Builder" magazine to launch in January.


Green Builder Media (GBM GBM 1 Glioblastoma multiforme, see there 2. Glomerular basement membrane ; Montpelier, VT), a company that provides a range of media-related services emphasizing green and environmentally-focused building practices, will begin the publication of "Green Building" magazine with an issue in January. It will focus exclusively on green building and environmentally appropriate development and will be published ten times in 2006. It has an initial controlled circulation of 90,000 builders, contractors and remodelers, including members of the National Association of Home Builders The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) is one of the largest trade associations in the United States. Headquartered in Washington, DC, the association organizes one of the largest conventions in North America, The International Builders' Show, which draws more than  interested in sustainable products and practices, with an additional 20,000 copies of the premier edition distributed at the International Builders' Show to be held in Orlando (FL).

GBM said the new title will provide practical information on green building and will "serve as a 'builders' advocate,' bringing greater awareness of sustainable products, designs, systems and techniques to America's largest industry." The publication is aimed at enabling mainstream professionals in the housing industry to profitably use green products and practices without compromising the economic value, beauty, safety or comfort of the homes they build.

GBM partner Ron Jones Ron Jones is the name of several well-known people:
  • Ron Jones (television director) - Doctor Who
  • Ronald "Popeye" Jones - professional basketball player
  • Ron Jones (politician) - Windsor, Ontario city councillor
 said the title is being launched because "the green building market is growing exponentially ex·po·nen·tial
