"GLOBAL EMPLOYMENT NEWS DIRECT" COVERS GLOBAL EMPLOYMENT NEWS.

In related news, CCH, Inc. (River-woods, IL), a division of Wolters Kluwer, has begun the production of Global Employment News Direct, a electronic monthly newsletter delivered via e-mail. An annual subscription costs $249. Current subscribers to CCH's Global Employment Law Guide can add the newsletter to their subscriptions for $199. A new subscription to both titles costs $1098.

Co-produced by the law firm of Baker & McKenzie, the letter is designed to provide HR directors, CEOs and legal counsel with employment law news from around the world. Editorial covers a variety of relevant topics, from business immigration incentives in Australia to Singapore's tax treatment of stock options to the basic German labor and management relations laws. It covers benefits, compensation, sexual harassment, termination, privacy, immigration, various types of discrimination, labor relations, works councils and employee transfers.

CCH manager Elice Webster said the title was launched because "companies doing business internationally must keep current with labor and employment issues, to be aware of developments in countries where they operate and, especially, to identify developing trends that may impact them."
