"Fundamentalism" is the enemy. (Insider Report).

The true enemy in the "war on terrorism" is "religious fundamentalism" of all varieties. This was the conclusion of participants in a weeklong conference convened in Houston by the Texas Faith Network (TFN), described by the August 24th Houston Chronicle as "a ten-year-old organization ... opposed to fundamentalist theology and activism in the educational and political arenas. The group advocates liberty of conscience in matters of faith and thought, compassion for the poor and respect in public discourse."

Translated into more candid language, the group seeks abolition of public expressions of Bible-based faith, socialist-inspired redistribution of wealth, and suppression of political views rooted in tradition as a form of "hate speech." The Reverend Mel White, a crusading homosexual activist who leads a radical ministry called Soulforce, was one of the event's marquee speakers. White, a former ghostwriter for Jerry Falwell, intends to file a "class action lawsuit in fifty states" for the purpose of silencing religious and political leaders who oppose efforts to normalize homosexuality. Another notable figure at the TFN event was Warren Bass of the Council on Foreign Relations, who described the rise of "Jewish fundamentalism" in Israel.
