"Forum on Analytics" Conference Features Speakers From Motorola, Qualcomm, Experian, Oracle, Teradata and UCSD.


San Diego Mayor Jerry Sanders provides opening remarks outlining region's leadership in analytics and software industries

SAN DIEGO -- The San Diego Software Industry Council (SDSIC) will present the "Forum on Analytics" conference on Wednesday, November 12 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Del Mar Marriott, with opening remarks from San Diego Mayor Jerry Sanders. The conference will feature speakers, panels and breakout sessions focused on marketing analytics, mobile analytics and healthcare analytics, among other topics.

San Diego has quickly become a hub for analytics innovation. The region's robust ecosystem of companies, universities, VC's and service providers has created a thriving analytics industry, prompting The San Diego Software Industry Council to present its second analytics conference in as many years.

Conference presenters include executives from Motorola, Oracle, Qualcomm, Experian, Teradata, Omniture, Certona, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, ProQuo, ID Analytics, Humana, Nine Mobile, R4 mobile and UCSD.

Keynotes include -

Daniel Yankelovich, the founding father of public opinion research and a leading interpreter of trends shaping American society and the global economy to address the November 4 general election in his keynote entitled "After the Election: Analyzing the Disconnects."

Robert Hecht-Nielsen, a leading authority in the field of analytics, co-founder of HNC Software (acquired by Fair-Isaac) and winner of an IEEE Neural Networks Pioneer medal will present new findings in the area of DNA analytics.

Hamid Ahmadi, corporate vice president, senior fellow and chief architect of Motorola Technology Organization will present on "Data Analytics in the Digital World."

Steve Gal, CEO of San Diego-based ProQuo, said, "The future of software around the globe is analytics. And the San Diego analytics community is thriving - it's the place to be. This year's conference will foster education, identify trends and undoubtedly encourage further innovation in the analytics industry."
