"Dingchonglong" Successfully Developed.

With the help of Shanghai scientific and technological development fund and after two years' conscientious research, young researchers headed by Song Gonghua from the Research Institute of Pharmaceutical Chemistry of Huadong Engineering University have finally developed insect growth regulator "Dingchonglong". Data retrieval made by Shanghai Scientific & Technological Result Searching Center proves that it is an entirely new pesticide in China.

"Dingchonglong" has high efficiency, low toxicity and excellent environmental compatibility. Pesticide formulations derived from the intermediate in the domestic market are fully imported from abroad and nearly a hundred million yuan has to be spent in the import each year.

It is reported that the Research Institute of Pharmaceutical Chemistry of Huadong Engineering University has concluded an agreement with a company in Shanghai on the development of the intermediate and its pesticide formulations. The commercial production will soon come into a substantive stage.
