"David GestOMy Life!" Musical Tour Adds 18 More Dates for Fall Following Strong Box Office in London & Liverpool.

LONDON -- On the heels of packed shows and strong reviews in London and Liverpool, popular UK television personality David Gest has announced 18 more dates for his first UK tour, "David GestOMy Life!" Grossing appx. $261,000 (appx. 186,400) from the first three dates alone, the show will return to London and Liverpool and be extended to Manchester, Newcastle, Bristol, Birmingham, Exeter, Brighton, Scotland and Ireland, with additional dates expected.

Earning high kudos from "Loose Women" co-host Carol McGiffin, the show featured Gest's own talents ("a tremendous performer!" enthused BBC1 radio host, TV personality and journalist Vanessa Feltz) as well as those of Russell Thompkins, Jr. & the New Stylistics, Billy Paul, Peabo Bryson, Freda Payne, Dorothy Moore, James Ingram, the Edwin Hawkins Singers, The Little People of Davidland and many others.

The first date of his UK tour at the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall on January 10 completely sold out more than 1,700 seats, with hundreds unable to buy tickets. Due to popular demand, a matinee was added two days before Christmas, three weeks before the show itself, and 1,000 additional tickets were sold for the matinee performance. At the Indigo2 in London, the show drew a near-capacity crowd. According to Leo Green, senior booker for the Indigo2, it "sold exceptionally well for the venue, achieving 90% capacity, which considering a Monday night in January in the middle of economically challenging times, is impressive."

"I am truly amazed at the public reaction and support. It was an exhilarating experience," stated David Gest, who discounts several published reports that suggested lower ticket sales. Affirms Vanessa Feltz, "The place was packed! I tried to buy the 75 ($105) seats a few weeks after they went on sale, but they were sold out. They were just impossible to get."

"David GestOMy Life!" will run for at least 18 more dates, scheduled for October 2009. The first will be October 9-10 with two evening performances at the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall and an additional matinee on the 10th. The tour continues October 11 in Manchester and October 15 at the Blackpool Opera House, followed by dates in London, Newcastle, Bristol, Birmingham, Exeter, Brighton, Scotland and Ireland. Gest's line-up will include 6-8 legendary stars from the pop and R&B world as well as the Tess Tickle Dancers, Little People of Davidland and Chinese Girls With Herpes (LiSa With an S, LiSetta With an S and LiSanyah With an S), among others.

Gest's recent MTV/VH1 four-hour Christmas 2008 special, "David Gest's Top 40 Christmas Crackers," was one of the highest rated MTV Christmas specials of all-time. It was seen by millions and ran nearly every day during the month of December on MTV, VH1, VH1Classic and TMF. Gest will be featured next month in a one-hour special on Sky 1, "Celebrity Homes," where he goes house hunting in Cambridge with Gaby Roslin. He will also re-release for the first time in years his legendary television special, "Michael Jackson: 30th Anniversary Celebration," which will include a narrative by Gest regarding the making of the show, the highest-rated musical television special in U.S. history.
