The new magazine will have a controlled circulation of 20,000 pharmaceutical, biological, drug delivery, and contract service professionals who make up the drug delivery sector of the healthcare industry. The publication will link science and business professionals in a rapidly-expanding field through technical articles, interviews, industry news and trend reports. The company said the launch will satisfy an industry demand for a title that "examines the entire scope and critical role of drug delivery."

From a scientific perspective, the company said the title will address issues related to the methods currently used to deliver certain drugs, as well as related opportunities, emerging product technologies and innovations. From a business perspective, the magazine will carry information on business management, solutions to life-cycle management, regulatory issues, industry M&A activity, licensing and new product development.

Former Advanstar group publisher and DDTM publisher/president Ralph Vitaro said the magazine is designed to "become the indispensible resource we have envisioned for this industry, which is slated for exceptional growth. We are thrilled thrill
