"Contract Packaging" launched by Summit Publishing.

Summit Publishing (Chicago, IL), the producer of Packaging World magazine, has begun the publication of Contract Packaging with an April issue. It will be published twice in 2005 and quarterly beginning in 2006.

The new title has a controlled circulation of 25,000 industry professionals who are involved in purchasing decisions. The magazine is the official publication for the Contract Packaging Association and each issue is designed to serve as a tool for companies to keep informed about the packaging services market.

Editorial includes news, trends, analysis and information for buyers and sellers of contract packaging. The first issue includes stories on efficiencies in operational procedures, economies of scale, purchasing machinery, resource distraction value, industry consolidation and relationships with consumer products companies. The premier issue also includes a Resource Guide that carries profiles of contract packaging companies.

Summit also produces Packaging World, a monthly with a controlled circulation of 90,000 packaging professionals, and Automation World, a monthly for 70,000 users and sellers of automation systems and components.
