"Community Open Forum" This Tuesday In Concord.


OAKLAND, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 12, 1998--The fourth in a series of Community Open Forums hosted by BART Directors to discuss plans for the transit district A transit district or transit authority is a special-purpose district organized as either a corporation chartered by statute, or a government agency, created for the purpose of providing public transportation within a specific region.  in the coming millennium will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 13, in the Community Meeting Room of the Concord Police Department, 1350 Galindo Street.

BART Board Vice President Joel Keller and Director Dan Richard will discuss major BART initiatives, including service improvements, the BART extension to San Francisco International Airport Coordinates:

, parking, and BART's Systemwide Renovation Program -- including the original fleet of BART cars, elevators and escalators, station interiors, rest rooms and landscaping -- followed by a question-and-answer period.

BART wants to exchange ideas with the public and to listen to its customers' concerns and opinions. Refreshments will be served.

Keller's BART District stretches from Richmond and along the Contra Costa Contra Costa can refer to:
