"Club Med Campus -- The Young People's Forum".

Business Editors

PARIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 8, 2000

-- An international opinion survey among 18-35-year-olds

-- 3 days of debate with young international 'talents' from 9th
to 11th November at Opio (Alpes-Maritimes).

To celebrate its 50th anniversary, Club Mediterranee has launched an international consultation procedure among young people via the Internet. This survey is the first stage of 'Club Med Campus - The Young People's Forum': three days in France during which 250 exceptional young people from all parts of the world will share their ambitions, projects and innovative ideas with personalities such as Paolo Coellho, Bernard Kouchner and Jacques Attali.

Club Med Campus seeks to become the leading venue for an annual gathering of young inventors, innovators and thinkers who will build the world of tomorrow. The event seeks to help them share ideas about their era.

The theme of the first Club Med Campus is:

"Young people today -- Communities or individuals?"

With the support of leading personalities from all walks of life -- such as Alain Minc, Jacques Attali, Bernard Kouchner, Paolo Coellho, Bernard Loiseau and Andre Berkoff -- these young people all share a common thread: they are aged between 18 and 35 and are highly gifted in their specific fields.

They have achieved great things and will present their accomplishments during the debates. They seek to share their experiences, stimulate a wide interest in their projects and are firmly committed to the theme of the event. Above all, they all have strong opinions about the future trends of society.

www.clubmed-campus.com: letting the young people of the world express their opinions

Since 1st August 2000, the Internet site www.clubmed-campus.com has been preparing for the three days in Opio by letting ALL young people express themselves. This trilingual site (French, English, Spanish) features an opinion survey and its contents are updated each week with material that is specially created with a young audience in mind: virtual meetings and exchanges of ideas, chat forums, special theme subjects, webcam forums etc. All surfers can freely give their opinions after reading news and features, share their own experiences and exchange ideas and personal philosophy.

Results from the Internet survey will be processed by the Opinion Way polling organisation and will form the basis of the discussions at Opio on 9th, 10th and 11th November.

Since it was founded 50 years ago, Club Med has followed a policy of encouraging men and women from all parts of the world to come together to cultivate their differences and build harmony across races, cultures and social customs. Club Med has always been on the cutting edge of innovation and today combines new technologies and utopian philosophy with the first edition of 'Club Med Campus - Young People's Forum.'
