Barnes & Noble and the Anti-Defamation League Anti-Defamation League

 are co-sponsoring the second annual "Close the Book on Hate" campaign scheduled to run from October October: see month.  15 through November November: see month.  15 2001. The goal of the national campaign is to help parents and teachers in starting a dialogue with children about prejudice through a series of free events and educational resources.

Educational tools include:

* A free brochure entitled en·ti·tle

2. To furnish with a right or claim to something:
, Close the Book on Hate: 101 Ways to Combat Prejudice, which is available at Barnes & Noble locations and downloadable from the Web sites of both the Anti-Defamation League (http://www.adl.org See .org.

* A series of free events for parents, children, teens, community leaders, and educators that will be held at Barnes & Noble stores throughout the US. The full schedule of all events is posted on the Anti-Defamation League Web site and Barnes & Noble corporate Web sites.

* A book titled Hate Hurts: How Children Learn and Unlearn Prejudice, available for $9.95 per copy. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this book go toward furthering the mission of the Anti-Defamation League.
