BOSTON -- The Greater Boston Greater Boston is the area of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts surrounding the city of Boston, Massachusetts. WHAT: On Wednesday, November 8that 10:00 a.m. The Greater Boston Food Bank will ask dozens of its friends and supporters from the political, business, sports, entertainment and culinary worlds to come together to create its first ever "chain of giving" to help unload the season's first major shipment of turkeysConearly 3,0000.

This year The Food Bank hopes to distribute the most turkeys everCoa record-breaking 35,000Coa seventeen percent increase over last year's distribution numbers. The Food Bank's turkey drive will run from Wednesday, November 8, through Tuesday, November 21, and will reach out to the residents of eastern Massachusetts for their support. Every $10 donation will help provide a 12-to-14 pound turkey to a family in need this Thanksgiving. Donations can be made on line at www.gbfb.org
