"Ask Dr. Weil" Web Site Provides Home-Remedy Database; The HotWired Network Adds "Doc Weil Database" to Its Popular Health Site.


SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 17, 1996--The HotWired Network and bestselling author Andrew T. Weil, MD, today launched a comprehensive database of natural treatments for common ailments.

The Doc Weil Database is the result of an exclusive licensing arrangement between Dr. Weil and the HotWired Network and consists of the material from Dr. Weil's bestselling book, Natural Health, Natural Medicine: A Comprehensive Manual for Wellness and Self-Care, as well as the questions and answers from the Ask Dr. Weil program. Accessing the database is simple: users enter a simple word query, which can be the name of a disease, condition, treatment or remedy.
