"Arthritis Practitioner" from HMP Communications.

HMP Communications (Malvern, PA), a producer of information for a range of healthcare categories, has begun the publication of "Arthritis Practitioner," a new magazine for healthcare professionals, including nurse practitioners and physician assistants, working with arthritic patients. It will be produced six times a year for a controlled circulation of 10,000.

HMP said the title offers information on diagnosing and managing arthritis and other musculoskeletal conditions, reducing the pain and disability that accompany arthritis, and help facilitate to better quality of life for arthritis sufferes. "Our goal is to make it easier for readers to quickly obtain clinical pearls and practice management insights from articles and put them into use," the company said.

The first two issues include feature articles and regular columns on such topics as side effects of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, facilitating better patient/provider relationships, misperceptions about osteoarthritis, alternative therapies for chronic pain, HIPAA compliance and treating rheumatoid arthritis.

HMP produces 12 other healthcare periodicals, including "EP Lab Digest," "Annals of Long-Term Care," "Clinical Geriatrics" and "Vascular Disease Management."
