The countdown begins for the release of "Armageddon," this year's No. 1 film to date, exploding onto home video on Friday, Nov. 13, for the ownable price of $22.99 (SRP SRP - A data link layer protocol. ).

In conjunction with the much-anticipated arrival of "Armageddon," Buena Vista Home Entertainment (BVHE BVHE Buena Vista Home Entertainment, Inc ) is playing off a line in the big-budget disaster flick by offering a power-packed promotional sweepstakes that will pay winners' taxes, parking tickets and award them real, certified asteroids This is a list of numbered minor planets, nearly all of them asteroids, in sequential order.

As of late September 2007 there are 164,612 numbered minor planets, and many more not yet numbered. Most asteroids are ordinary and not particularly noteworthy.

The "End-of-the-World" national sweepstakes features five "Armageddon" videocassettes that will contain a grand-prize "ticket" to pay the winners' 1998 taxes. Ten additional "Armageddon" videocassettes will include a "ticket" that will serve as a coupon to pay for the winners' 1998 parking tickets.

Runner-up prizes include 15 real, certified-authentic asteroids, 25 official "Armageddon" jackets and 150 "Armageddon" sound tracks.
