"ACS Nano" from American Chemical Society.

Beginning in the third quarter of 2007, the American Chemical Society The American Chemical Society (ACS) is a learned society (professional association) based in the United States that supports scientific inquiry in the field of chemistry. Founded in 1876 at New York University, the ACS currently has over 160,000 members at all degree-levels and in  (Washington, D.C.) will begin the publication of "ACS (Asynchronous Communications Server) See network access server.  Nano," a new monthly journal that will publish articles, perspectives and editorial commentary in the nanotechnology nanotechnology: see micromechanics.

Areas of interest covered by the new journal will range from synthesis and assembly to functional devices and nanolithography, including chemistry, physics, biology, materials science and engineering Materials science and engineering

. Editorial features will report on issues and developments in the field, including atomic-scale properties of surfaces and supramolecular assemblies A supramolecular assembly or "supermolecule" is a well defined complex of molecules held together by noncovalent bonds. While a supramolecular assembly can be simply composed of two molecules (e.g. , scanning probe microscopies, self- and directed-assembly, and models of biological systems, as well as profiles and interviews with appropriate scientists and public figures.

The journal will also be featured in an online community that will highlight the ACS' activities in the nanotechnology area and will foster collaboration within the international nano community through Web features for researchers in the fields of nanoscience and nanotechnology.

The ACS publishes over 30 other journals covering the chemical, engineering, energy and environmental fields, including such titles as "Biotechnology Process," "Energy & fuels" and "Journal of Chemical & Engineering Data."
